Story 

Growing up, she had come to dread school. She hated that her classmates ridiculed her for being different, that they poked fun of her ‘awkward’ features and her love for reading. She had tried, for many years, to fit in. But no matter what she did, it was never enough. Her years of anguish were not completely in vain, however. She became resilient, impervious to the barbs that were cast her way. And, when she finally crossed paths with her bullies, two decades later, she had only her successes and kindness to share with them.

Like her idol, Vidya Bagchi, from the movie Kahaani, she knew that revenge often took a long time coming. But the sweetest revenge was when her mere existence shone bright enough to blind her detractors.

Description

Handloom cotton is handwoven by our weavers on mechanical looms. The process is time and labour-intensive, using techniques that have been passed down across generations of artisans. The resultant fabric is extraordinarily soft, breathable and resilient, and also drapes very well. Using handloom cotton not only helps us to work with smaller weavers but also plays an important role in reducing the environmental footprint of the garments we produce. The addition of zari adds a regal sheen to this saree, making it as beautiful as it is comfortable.
